Adams & Remers has strengthened its commercial property team with the appointment of solicitor Sophie Macarthy who joined the firm this month from DMH Stallard’s Crawley office.
Sophie advises on the property management requirements of many businesses in the South East including large corporations, private investors, SME’s and start-ups, through to pension funds, charities, the public sector, the leisure and retail industry and care homes.
Sophie’s recent transactions include being recently appointed to act as sole legal advisor for a charity with a £90m annual turnover, acquiring and managing premises nationwide. Sophie has also acted for a local authority on the disposal of 25 car parks in central London, secured the first registration of a portfolio of sites across London including many notable landmarks and acted for a South Coast port authority on the refinance and regeneration of the port.
Sophie Macarthy comments: “I have worked with many types of business across the region focusing on lease and contract negotiation, providing advice on commercial structures and terms, business restructuring and property finance to licensing practice and procedure.
