James specialises in agriculture and landed estate property work as well as acting for a broad range of landowner clients and rural businesses. He has also built up a reputation advising landowners in strategic land arrangements. James is a member of the Agricultural Law Association and the Country Land and Business Association, and sits on the Agricultural & Rural Land consultation board of a major legal publisher.

Background: James trained with Clarke Willmott in Taunton and qualified as a solicitor in 1998 within their agriculture property team. After five years with Clarke Willmott, James relocated to Sussex and worked as a company solicitor for a Sussex-based property development and investment company. In 2010, James joined Thomas Eggar (now part of Irwin Mitchell) where he was a Senior Associate in their rural business and estate team, prior to joining Adams & Remers in 2017.
