Adams & Remers has acted for the global learning and development consultancy SIA Group on its merger with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
Stephen Tetlow, Chief Executive of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers says: “Merging the engineering expertise of the Institution with the experience of SIA Group will allow us to provide better learning and professional development services to our members and clients. SIA Group already has an impressive global reach and we want to build on this to provide authoritative guidance for even more businesses, governments and other organisations.”
George Siantonas, Founder of SIA Group, says: “Merging the great strengths of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and SIA Group is a strategic decision that has created an even stronger learning and development consultancy with greatly enhanced capacity. As a result, we will be better able to meet the growing and changing needs of our clients in the future. In addition we will be able to play a wider role in the creation and sharing of knowledge to provide policy makers, businesses and other organisations with fresh thinking and authoritative guidance on all aspects of developing the leadership skills of talented technical professionals.”
Douglas Stewart, Associate Corporate & Commercial from Adams & Remers says: “At first sight, SIA Group and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers may not seem like a natural fit, but the Institution already has a training and professional development arm which, following the merger with SIA Group, it will further be able to expand and enhance. SIA Group has been exceptionally well run and organised, which paid dividends when it came to the merger, which proceeded smoothly and to its original timetable.”
