Lucy-May Tarafder



Lucy-May is a solicitor in the commercial property team and advises clients on a broad range of commercial property matters including landlord and tenant, the acquisition and disposal of both freehold and leasehold property and property portfolio management. Lucy-May has particular experience in the care sector, regularly acting for care home operators and funders in the acquisition, disposal and refinancing of care homes.


  • Expertise: Lucy-May advises clients on all aspects of commercial property law, and is particularly experienced in the care sector advising on the acquisition, disposal and refinancing of individual or portfolio care homes. She also regularly advises on all aspects of landlord and tenant work. Lucy-May has worked with many different clients including large corporations, care home operators, private individuals, public bodies and pension funds and having previously worked in business, understands the priorities and pressures faced by her clients and is responsive to these.
  • Background: After graduating from Birmingham University Lucy-May initially pursued her interest in business, working at Procter & Gamble for two years. However, Lucy-May decided return to the law and after working as a research assistant to Lord Justice Carnwath at the Law Commission, she trained as a solicitor at Addleshaw Goddard LLP in London, qualifying into their Real Estate department. Lucy-May joined Adams and Remers in January 2015 after relocating to Sussex with her family a few years earlier.
