Main Purpose of the role

To provide an accurate and comprehensive, high quality service to assist the Employment team meet the legal and client needs.

 Job Role

The role involves duties including:

  • Opening files
  • AML procedures and checks
  • Preparing bills
  • Typing of amendments to SPAs and other document mark ups
  • Document management
  • Preparing bundles
  • Liaising with clients, counsel, chambers, courts and employment tribunals
  • Setting up and managing data rooms
  • File management
  • Research
  • Generally assisting fee earners on matters

Person Specification

You should be able to demonstrate the following personal attributes:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a city or west end law firm
  • Some experience of employment law
  • Organised, adaptable, accurate and the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • IT skills
  • Good written English
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Effective time management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Personable and team focused
  • Flexible, resilient and the ability to handle change
