Aisha Dickson

Biography

Aisha advises on a wide range of commercial, IP, IT and data protection matters.  Her clients come from a variety of industries, and range from individuals and start-up companies, to the directors, in-house and commercial departments of large private companies.  Aisha has been seconded to clients on a number of occasions (including a Norwegian listed oil exploration company and a London based fashion agency) as well as acting as in-house counsel to the Stroke Association in respect of its GDPR implementation.

Aisha attended the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and the College of Law, York.  After qualifying with City firm Davies Arnold Cooper (now DAC Beachcroft LLP), she worked for a Top 100 London firm for 9 years.  She joined Adams & Remers LLP in April 2011 as an Associate and continues to act as a Consultant to the firm.

Expertise

  • Aisha’s experience includes advising on a variety of commercial matters (both business and consumer facing), from terms of business and supply agreements, to manufacturing, distribution and agency contracts.  Aisha also advises on the impact of UK and EU competition law to these arrangements.
  • She advises on a range of agreements in the field of IP, including drafting trade mark assignments and licences, patent and know-how licences and advising on copyright issues.
  • Aisha’s practice also includes drafting and negotiating a wide range of IT agreements, including software licences, support and maintenance agreements and hardware and software reseller agreements. She also has particular expertise in advising on compliance with e-commerce and distance selling and in relation to issues arising from websites.
  • Aisha also has extensive experience advising on data protection, most recently on the implementation and impact of GDPR.  This includes the drafting of privacy policies, internal data protection policies and data processing agreements, as well as advising on compliance issues.  She also advises on the use of personal data for marketing purposes.
