James specialises in commercial and international dispute resolution and commercial work including insolvency work for both corporate and individual clients.
James trained and practised with Linklaters in The City of London, qualifying as a solicitor in 1977. Before joining Evans Dodd, in 1985, James worked with two other firms that specialised in shipping law/ disputes in London. James remained with Evans Dodd for over thirty years before the firm merged with Adams & Remers in 2018.
Outside of work, he enjoys London and Salcombe, sport (participation now limited to golf and tennis), bridge and horse racing, for all of which he has much greater time as his two children have both grown up and left home.
