Adams & Remers acted for Orta Solar Limited in relation to their contract to act as developer of solar park at Gatwick

• If you have flown to or from Gatwick Airport recently, you may have noticed a newly constructed 50kW Solar PV system next to the main runway. And it is thanks to Adams & Remers, on behalf of their client Orta Solar Limited who was responsible for the development and construction, that the legal side of the project ran smoothly.  Adams & Remers acted for Orta Solar Limited in relation to their contract to act as developer of this solar park at Gatwick. The lease was then granted to Blue Energy who had retained Orta to develop the site. This was a ground breaking project as no other UK airport has solar power generation on site and in this case 150m from the runway perimeter and it is hoped other airports will follow Gatwick’s lead. It will make airport based solar projects far easier from now on.”  Orta Solar’s managing director Nick Pascoe said; “This system breaks new ground regarding the acceptance of airport based solar in the UK and all involved have learned a lot regarding challenges and solutions specific to the location. We are already speaking with other leading airport groups in the UK about bringing Solar PV into their operations.”

Sale of Boletus to Dekeloil Public Limited, £1.7 million equity fundraise and Admission to AIM

• We advised Boletus Resources, a British Virgin Islands investment company, on its sale to DekelOil Public Limited and its subsequent admission to AIM, capitalising the group at £13 million. We also acted for Optiva Securities Limited in its role as placing agent and broker to DekelOil in connection with its £1.7 million equity fundraise. DekelOil is a palm oil developing company operating in the Ivory Coast.

Re-Admission to AIM and Placing of Clontarf Energy plc

• We advised Shore Capital and Corporate Limited in its role as nominated adviser and joint broker on Clontarf Energy plc’s acquisition of Hydrocarbon Exploration plc, by way of a scheme of arrangement, re-admission to AIM and related placing. Clontarf is an international oil and gas explorer, developer and producer with major assets in Ghana, Bolivia and Peru.
